"Around Our House" - December

December was a crazy month for us.
(as i'm sure it was for most everyone.)

We have been experiencing our first real snow storms in years.
Trying to learn the best ways to run errands and grocery shop with two babies is this stuff has been quite the task.
(I am open to any advice you snow dwellers can offer me.)

I have, as always, been chasing around this little cutie.
(She sees me workout on my big exercise ball,
so she has starting sitting on hers.)

Also, please note the swaddled puppy.
Ever since we brought Carter home,
Every stuffed animal and baby has to be swaddled all the time.
I am running out of blankets and towels!

YAY!!!
To celebrate Ryan finishing up his finals we made one of his favorite meals.
Homefried chicken and potato salad.

Hayden, as always, wanted to help in the kitchen.
This kid will eat anything!
This is her chowing down on a green onion that she snagged while helping with the potato salad.

And we caught her double dipping her finger into the may/mustard/relish/onion mixture.
GROSS!
But of course she loved it, and kept going back for more.
Weirdo.

After finals were done he had two weeks at home with us.
It was so great to have him around full time to entertain Hayden while I worked on getting Carter on a regular routine.
She was floating on a cloud to have her Daddy home so much.
She is such a Daddy's girl, and she ate up every minute she had with him.

Here's our hard working Daddy.

We were all getting used to life with a newborn.
(I know he looks big but he is only a few weeks old in these pictures.)

He is such a sweet, easy baby.
He grunts a little when he is hungry, but really NEVER cries.
It takes about 2 minutes of snuggling or rocking to get him to sleep.

He is a great little eater.
As i'm sure you can see.

Both Hayden and Carter came down with head colds
that later became upper respiratory infections.
It was so sad to see them all gooey and miserable.

Hopefully we can stay inside and stay healthy for the rest of the winter.
