2 Months Old!

Our baby girl is already 2 months old!
I can't believe how fast time is flying by. We took her into the doctor yesterday and she is already 11 lbs. and 23 in. long.
She had to get her shots but she was a champ.
(Not to mention the nurse was great and did it so fast, I don't think she knew what hit her, and before she knew it I had her stuck on the breast nursing - thanks for the advice Brittany)
We brought her home just waiting for the storm to hit and it never did.
She just napped and played and went to bed like normal.
No fever or anything yet.
So we were thankful for that, and that she is such a good healthy sweet little girl

She is becoming so independent.
Hayden has always been a high maintenance baby. She likes to be held, talked too, walked around, bounced, played with you name it.
She would never just hang out or lay by herself.
But now all of a sudden when we lay her on the floor she will play with us for a few minutes then she wants us to leave her alone. At first I felt bad about this, but then I realized that she has way more fun when she is just playing by herself. She will bat and her toys ans squeal and kick and kick and smile.
Its is so cute!
And so nice.
I finally feel like I get a few minutes here and there that she doesn't have to be in my arms.

She is such a Daddy's girl. If she can find her way onto her Daddy's chest she just snuggles right in and is out like a light. It is so sweet. I love to watch them cuddled up together.
She is going to really miss him when he goes back to work.
Only one more week.

She is getting so strong. She always tries to sit up and do things on her own. But her little arms are always flailing around everywhere and it throws her off balance and she tips right over.

I am so excited that my little girl came with so much hair! It is getting long enough now that I am always experimenting with new hairstyles, clips, bows, headbands ect.
I can't wait for the day that I can actually get a little ponytail up on top of that cute little head.

Hayden has found her tongue!
It all started when I was trying to get her attention one day and I started wiggling my tongue at her and making noises. She immediately became entranced by this strange wiggly thing.
I could see her moving her tongue around in her mouth trying to figure it out.
And by the next day, there it was.
Now it is her favorite thing. She still loves to watch ours to try and find new things to do with hers, and now she is starting to add sound to it.
It is so dang cute!

Headband time is finally here!
Hayden has so many cute headbands but they have always been too big for her tiny little head.
(which is in the 20th percentile, while the rest of her is in the 75th)
But they finally fit! Not all of them yet, but a few and I am so excited to be able to dress her up in them and stop gluing bows to her head everyday.

Did I mention that Hayden super skinny long feet.
She has grown out of all of her socks so I went to buy her some new bigger ones and I picked up some "0-6 months" socks and this is how they fit her.
I couldn't believe it! Not only are they way too short for her long feet, but they are WAY too big around so they are so loose they just slide right off.
