Our little Birthday Princess was so cute.
I picked her up a cute pink tutu, a princess sash, and a birthday princess tiara.
Her homemade birthday sign. (one of my favorite birthday family tradditions)
Her Nana Jan showed up early and gave her her gift . . . a beautiful new rocking chair.
She loves to sit in it and pretend to read her books.
Ryan was a total kid again himself while playing with the kids at the party.
They had a ton of fun playing with all the balloons.
Here is Ryan's best impression of his pregnant wife.
Hayden got to try her first olive, and of course we put it on her finger first.
My mom and sister prepared a ton of snacks for us to munch on.
We had a cupcake bar with all different types of cupcakes, frosting and toppings.
Hayden actually seemed to get the hang of opening gifts, and enjoyed inspecting her new toys/clothes.
The GIANT Birthday cupcake.
Yes, this is a mom homemade cake - as I feel kids birthday cakes should be.
And a very amateur one at that, but it is my 1st birthday, I'll get better eventually.
Hayden started with the one finger poke . . .
But it didn't take her too long to really start digging in.
She loved the cake so much!
I used an entire cake mix for her giant cupcake and she ended up eating the whole top!
Which is a TON of cake, but I couldn't bare to cut her off.
This is all that was left.
I just wrapped her up in the paper we had put on the floor and carried her right up to the bath.
We had such a fun day!
Thank you everyone who helped out.
My mom made beautiful cupcake decorations, and did all the fruit and veggies.
Sadie decorated the house and made all the cupcakes.
And the boys were all there for support and help we couldn't have done it without them.
And thanks to everyone who came.
You mean so much to us and we really appreciate you being a part of our little Hayden's life.
Happy Birthday Hayden

how fun, I love her cake!
What a fun 1st birthday party. And the cupcake bar is a BRILLIANT idea! Oh, and I thought your cake looked pretty fabulous!
I almost bought that exact mold last year for layla's birthday. They had it In STG. but when I got to SLC I could not find it anywhere.
her eyes are so pretty in the Pic of her drinking from the straw.
Happy Birthday!
I think you did a GREAT job on the cake! And I think it's rare that kids actually chow down on their first birthday cake, so I wouldn't have stopped her either! :) This year since you had her has sure gone by fast! :)
what a cute party, looks like she loved it!
