Our little family came down with a nasty head cold last week.
So after spending all day Saturday inside,
And skipping church to avoid getting everyone sick on Sunday,
we decided we needed to get out and get some fresh air.
So we headed to Hawk Island Park.
It is one of my favorites here in Lansing
and it's just a few minutes from our house.
We hopped on the trail that goes all around the lake.
Half of the trail is on the park side,
and the other half of the trail is on the other side of the lake
where it is tree covered and absolutely beautiful.
The height of the trees is amazing to me,
and makes me feel like I have entered another world.
I love it.

Those pictures are gorgeous! I love trees & the color green. It's so... theraputic! Your house looks amazing & that back yard is to die for, green grass & a community swing set- who could ask for anything more?
