I'm not sure if he was referring to the 80's hits i've been enjoying,
or simply a change.
So today I spent naptime:
finding new songs
new artists
and
reminiscing old favorites
I had so much fun.
I MISS having all the time in the world to listen to music.
I remember a time in my life when asked,
"What do you like to do for fun?"
I would respond
"Listen to music."
Where is that girl?
I STILL LOVE music, just them same,
but when laundry, dirty dishes, hungry bellies, and errands
are calling my name
I just CAN'T justify spending hours listening to whats new.
I admitted enjoy
the overplayed top 40
and the cheesy tween pop (I know, I can't believe I admitted it too)
BUT
What I REALLY LOVE is
sort of funkidelic indie pop
stuff that sounds different
interesting
I like unique melodies
and "folky" voices
upbeat
and
fun.
It makes me smile
So today I played,
and listened,
and
I found some
old nostalgic goodies
and some fun new stuff
Hope you like what you hear.
and if you have any favorites you think I might like please share!

there is this new song that i think you should listen to. her name is la roux and the song is bulletproof. it is new and funky but sounds sort of 80's ish. i love it. and you should look up kerli. she is great. you will love them both...hopefully
I'm lovin' the new tunes. I listened to them all afternoon. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks Sade,
I LOVE that bulletproof song, but didn't know what it was called or who it was by, so I was so happy to find it! And you are right I DO love Kerli! You know me so well.
I also consider "listening to music" one of my hobbies. After having kids, I didn't do it as much. Then I started teaching, and a few of my music loving teenage students have gotten me back into finding fun stuff and updating my ipod. I love these songs you have on here.
